PLC Armidale will be hosting their second annual “Successful Women in Leadership’ lunch on Wednesday, March 7. Guest speaker for the luncheon will be successful international business executive Christine Bartlett.
Currently Executive Director heading up the “NextGen” project for National Australia Bank, Christine spent 24 years with IBM and prior to joining NAB was CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle, where she achieved some amazing business growth results.
“The object of the lunch is for regional business owners and managers to have exposure to people who are succeeding in positions of leadership and to profile good role-models for our students,” Head of School PLC Armidale Debra Kelliher said.
“We are delighted that an executive of Christine’s profile has agreed to be our speaker. She is an exciting person to hear.”
Christine is a Director of The Smith Family and a member of the Australian School of Business Advisory Board. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Christine grew up in Sydney, attended PLC Pymble and joined IBM as a graduate straight out of university. She later went on to Jones Lang LeSalle before joining NAB in 2009.
During this time she has balanced work with raising a family, and continues to manage various charity and family interests.
Students in Year 11 and 12 from schools in Armidale are being invited and will have an opportunity for a closed discussion session with the speaker.
“Christine is a terrific role model who has managed to balance high pressure work responsibilities with her family responsibilities,” Ms Keliher said.
This event is generously sponsored by National Australia Bank with support from the Armidale Business Chamber and other local businesses.
Last year over 200 attended the event with businesses sending partners, staff and clients to the presentation.
