Following the previous highly successful community projects workshop, a second workshop is to be held in Cabarita Beach/Bogangar next week.
The first of two workshops was held on Sunday, May 6 at the growing seaside village. Residents responded enthusiastically and came up with many ideas for future community projects, with 75 people signing up as interested in participating in work groups.
The second workshop, to be held at Cabarita Beach Sports Club on the evening of Monday, May 21, will focus on discussion of the many ideas suggested, their viability and popularity, with the aim of forming working groups for each accepted idea. Senior representatives from Tweed Shire Council will be in attendance.
The workshops are an initiative of Cabarita Beach/Bogangar Community and Economic Development Committee, and are funded by the registered clubs of the Tweed under Clubs NSW and supported by Tweed Shire Council and the Department of Trade and Investment.
Sandwiches and other refreshments will be provided at the event, which will run from 6pm until 9pm.
