A golden moment

The Tweed Coast based St Anthony’s Catholic Parish celebrated its 50th anniversary in fine style at Kingcliff on Sunday morning.
Starting with a special service in the morning, the day included displays of memorabilia in the hall. The pictures were lent for the day by parishioners past and present. Also on display were art works by the students of St Anthony’s Primary School including many expressions of what it is like to be a student at the school.
As well as the display, there was a sausage sizzle and performances by the students – and plenty of time to reminisce over the events of the past 50 years and to look forward to the next 50.
