The Armidale/Uralla and District Branch of the Australian Diabetes Council held its final meeting of the year and a Christmas celebration last week at the Mun Hing Chinese Restaurant.
The Christmas message from the diabetic support group says, enjoy what Christmas has to offer but, sensibly: Enjoy the Christmas holidays and Festive Season in moderation, but rein it all back in once the Season is over
Christmas is a time of indulgent temptations and diabetics must resist more than most.
The group aims to continue attracting informative speakers to its bi-monthly meetings in 2013. Its strong schedule of fundraising initiatives will return in the New Year, contributing to research nationally and helping with equipment purchases for the community and young diabetics, locally.
