TWEED Unlimited Arts will have a new group on display next weekend when they hold their annual open day at their premises at Pioneer Parade, Banora Point.
Starting just a month ago is the Quilting group which joins the embroidery, painting, spinners and weavers and pottery groups at the TUA.
“We only started a month ago but we seem to be getting a new member each week,” member Rhonda Lennon.
“We do hand or machine sewing and it’s just a matter of bringing along whatever project you are working on. We don’t have a teacher – everyone just helps each other. We all have different styles and have a mix of beginners to the more experienced.”
The group meets each Friday from 9am to 1pm to share ideas and have a lot of fun enjoying their hobby together. To see just what they are doing, check them out at the TUA 2013 Ocean’s Alive Open Days next weekend.
