Paintings launch new stage show

By TANIA PHILLIPS

THE Red Paintings are currently gearing up to launch a series of innovative new stage shows for “The Revolution Is Never Coming” Australian release, and are heading to Coolangatta on Saturday 6 July.
Known for incredible live performances, the band is bringing its ‘You’re Not One Of Them’ tour to Australia, following the recent release of a new single and video.
The unique show is the first of four incredible stage shows the band will tour around the world in support of the album, with each tour featuring a different and even more ambitious spectacle.
Based between Australia and Los Angeles, The Red Paintings are a five-piece orchestral art rock group (guitar, bass, drums, piano, cello and violin) that incorporate themed costumed stage shows, live art, visual projections and human canvases to create a truly unique art experience – in real time – that reflects the band’s music and energy. The band is on the lookout for artists and human canvases to be part of their creative circus.
To join them on stage painting to the music or offer your body to be painted, email artsubmissions@theredpaintigns.com or check out www.facebook.com/TRPartistpage for more info and to see artworks created on tour around the world.
Artists are sourced with the aim of finding struggling but talented painters and providing them with a new platform to showcase their work.
“As most bands now create social blogs of their tour experiences, The Red Paintings create real time art works to share the energy of each show with their fan base and tell the history of the band – a fragment of time that fits the moment,” said the band’s Trash McSweeney.
