Tweed-based Lifebridge was honoured with an Achievement Award for Excellence in Organisational Development at the NSW Disability Innovation Awards late last month.
The awards focused on recognising innovation and best practice in the disability services sector in NSW.
Lifebridge CEO, Rebecca Mussett and Family Support Development Officer, Cathy O’Neill, accepted the award from the Minister for Ageing and Disability Services, the Hon Andrew Constance at the awards ceremony held at Parliament House in Sydney.
Lifebridge won the award in recognition of the work it is doing to re-structure itself as a person centred community organisation where people with a disability and their families are at the centre of decision making about their support at all times and staff are trained in person centred thinking and person centred approaches.
Lifebridge provides support and services to people with a disability, people who are frail aged, people with dementia and their carers in the Tweed region.
