Playgroup floored by support

Twin Towns Playgroup has a brand new floor, thanks to a little help from their friends.

The much-needed new floor was provided thanks to a grant from ClubGRANTS, a joint State Government-Club Industry program. ClubGRANTS is funded by a 2.25 per cent gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government to those registered clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million per annum.

“We are very appreciative of the generous grant; after 30 years of wear from playgroup kids, the floor had paint, glue and a variety of other editions and was in much need of replacing,” Prue Austin, Playgroup secretary said.

“This is not the first time Twin Towns Playgroup has been the grateful recipients of ClubGRANTS funding.

In recent years they have also funded a fence and bike path for the kids, both of which have been great ad’ditions to the playgroup.

“The new floor has given the playgroup a real lift and this is not just because of how great the floor looks. The members are proud they were able to achieve, through ClubGRANTS generosity, something long lasting for future playgroup parents and children to enjoy.”

Twin Towns Playgroup is open Tuesday and Thursdays 9.30-11.30am and welcomes new members or groups who want to start their own session. The building is available for use Monday-Friday.

“If you would like to come, just turn up – the first two sessions are free and after that it’s just $5 per week, however many times you attend,” Prue said.

All new members are also required to join Playgroup NSW, which has an annual fee of $39. For more information, please call 07 5535 4162 during session times or check out our Facebook page at Twin Towns Playgroup.
