Bob and Beth Malcom, Managing Directors of Lifestyle Travel and Cruise Centre at Coolangatta, are set to experience two areas of the world that are off the usual tourist map.
In February 2012, Bob and Beth will be escorting a small group of travellers on a journey of discovery to fabled Bhutan and then cruising the remote waterways of India’s majestic Brahmaputra River.
Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a fascinating, land-locked and little-visited state, where the preservation of culture and traditions, as well as the stunning natural beauty of the Himalayas, has created a travel destination like no other.
Bhutan lies just south of Tibet, overseen by sub-alpine Himalayan peaks, some exceeding 7000 metres.
The north eastern area of India is a land of mystery and dense forests, diverse in vegetation, wildlife and tribal culture.
The mighty Brahmaputra River winds its way through this area on its way to meet the legendary Ganges River.
The banks of the Brahmaputra are home to about forty ethnic tribes, magnificent wildlife including the Bengal Tiger and is dotted with hundreds of Hindu temples and monasteries, many more than five centuries old.
The tour, in addition to visiting and experiencing the culture that makes Bhutan such an amazing experience, cruises the Brahmaputra River, on the brand new luxury river cruise liner, the MV Mahabaahu.
The MV Mahabaahu is an expedition style ship with 29 cabins with facilities including air-conditioning, TVs/DVDs, mini-bars, telephone and internet.
Cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows and all have private facilities.
The tour from Travel Masters departs on January 30, and will be a total immersion into both Bhutanese and Indian culture and lifestyle.

Bob and Beth said this was the first time any tour of this kind had been offered, along with a new cruising experience aboard the MV Mahabaahu.
They said they were extremely excited to be able to experience this part of the world.
