Beyersdorf recognised for 20 years of service

Armidale Dumaresq Council’s (ADC) Councillor Herman Beyersdorf was recognised at the Local Government Association’s 2011 conference in Nowra on October 23 for an ‘Outstanding Service Award’, given to Councillors after 20 years of service.
Herman Beyersdorf has been a Councillor since 1991. In that time, he has served on numerous committees including Waste Management, Domestic Energy and the Sports Council.
Currently, Herman is Chair of Council’s Economic Development Committee and also Chair of the Pine Forest Committee. In addition to his Council activities, Herman is also a member of the New England Weeds Council and is currently the Deputy Chair of Regional Development Australia – Northern Inland.
Herman is delighted with his award and is highly appreciative of this recognition.
“While I have enjoyed most of the last twenty years on Council, it is good to have public recognition of this service.
“I have particularly enjoyed the interaction with the community which being a councillor entails, and I hope that I have played some part in making a better community over the years.”
