North Estate agents will swap Real Estate for cake for one morning as they host one of the many Tweed versions of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
The event will be out the front of the office of North Estate Agents’ office on Wharf St where they are literally rolling the red carpet out for this inaugural highbrow event of the Tweed.
Norths will even have the force with them – with local police representatives as well as the respected Tweed business community joining in to raise money for cancer research.
According to leading research from Incite Cancer Institute of NSW, if a person lives to 85 years of age, there is a one is two chance that they will have a diagnosis of cancer in their lifetime if they are male and a one in three chance if they are female.
Principal of North Estate Agents Mark Humphries said he was proud to host the event in support of the community and those families touched by cancer.
“We are calling on everyone in the community to get involved and help us set a new benchmark for cancer fundraising” Mr Humphries said.
“With cancer having affected over half of the male population and a third of the female population before the age of 30, we know just how much devastation this has caused for families of the Tweed,” he said.
Licensed Real Estate Agent Lance Cotterill of North Estate Agents has also witnessed the heartache cancer causes local families.
“I am proud to be a part of a company that gives back so much to our community. North proudly supports seven associations and causes locally,” said Mr Cotterill.
All money raised on the day will help the Cancer Council Queensland continue its research, education and patient support services to help all those affected by cancer.
The Big Morning Tea will be held outside the North office on Thursday, May 26 at 10.30am.
