JUST who is the best baker at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School?
That’s just what the school is about to find out with their bake-off competition tomorrow (Friday, August 30) as part of this year’s Pink Ribbon Day fund-raising efforts.
All students from Year 5 to Year 12 have been invited to enter the competition in the various categories including iced cupcakes, biscuits, slices and cakes – all with a pink theme.
Food Technology Teacher Kathy Smith said after judging, the cakes would be offered for sale at recess to the school students and staff.
Prizes and certificates will be awarded to all category winners.
“The bake-off is getting huge, with many entries received across all year levels,” Mrs Smith said.
“We are looking forward to a very successful event and all proceeds from the sales of sweet treats will be donated to Pink Ribbon Day fund-raising.”
Pink Ribbon Day, raising money for breast cancer research, has always been well patronised at Lindisfarne with the whole school, including students and staff, invited to wear pink on the day and make a gold coin donation.
