Dooley rocks Cooly

By TANIA PHILLIPS

GREG Doolan is back and rocking Twin Towns with a little help from his friends.
Greg, affectionately known as Dooley, joins forces once again with some of his best mates and fellow former members of the legendary showband – Wickety Wak – to bring an hilarious history lesson in rock ’n’ roll – just in time for Cooly Rocks On. Hits from The Platters, Shakin’ Stevens, Elvis, Roy, Olivia Newton-John, The Supremes, and more will be given life and a little laughter.
Yes, the boys will perform a selection of hits taking in the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s music mixed in with the typically famous Wickety Wak humour that they have mastered over a 35-year career.
And when it comes to singing, you will not hear any better in Australia, particularly as Greg’s wife Laura joins the mix with her incredible voice. Dooley (Greg) will become a fifties rock’n’ roll radio announcer live on stage and as each song is performed, Greg will look at what was happening in the world at the time from politics to the price of land.
From the price of jam to what happened when Mrs Gibson had trouble with her next door neighbour’s hotrod, this is just great fun … “Dooley Rocks Cooly” exclusive to Twin Towns Clubs and Resorts.
