THE magnificent voice of internationally acclaimed singer, Liza Beamish headlines the Tweed Link’s 2 June concert, much to the delight and anticipation of the club.
Liza is much in demand as a soloist throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Tweed Coast and has performed at practically every available venue in these areas.
A versatile artist, Liza is equally at home singing jazz with big bands, ballads, musicals and classical opera with full orchestras.
It would indeed be hard to find a performer with a more all-round experience in almost every genre and Liza will not disappoint. She is a consummate performer who will leave audiences wanting more.
Also on the bill for June is singer and entertainer Eddy Gobbe, a talented and experienced performer whose experience ranges from drumming in a rock ‘n roll band, appearances on Six O’Clock Rock, a revue group which toured Vietnam, Japan and Philippines, and being part of a successful duo winning a Mo Award in 1977 for best new act.
He has toured with Slim Dusty, Ricky May and Sole Bros.
Guest musicians on Sunday will be Bob Fawaz on trumpet and Col Hobson on banjo. Both of these talented gentlemen are seen regularly in the area and Bob Fawaz’s band can be heard each Wednesday evening at Greenmount.
Compere Bob Green will open the show with the Tweed Links Dancers accompanied by the Tweed Links Quartet.
