TICKETS for the inaugural Business Excellence Awards Tweed Shire (BEATS) gala presentation night on 12 October are selling fast and anyone wanting to attend should get in quick.
That’s the message from BEATS organiser Natascha Wernick who has been inundated with early reservations.
“If you haven’t already bought your tickets for our awards night, I would strongly urge you to book now before they all sell out,” Ms Wernick said.
An initiative of the Combined Chambers of the Tweed, the call for award nominations attracted huge interest from local businesses across the shire, with more than 45 finalists announced in the 15 categories.
“Our chosen finalists really showcase the diversity of the Tweed’s business community and include small, medium and large enterprises from every industry sector and every corner of the shire,” Ms Wernick said.
“As such, the gala awards night promises to be a true community gathering where business owners, operators and staff can catch up with old friends and colleagues, and extend their local networks by making new contacts.
“Above all, it’s a great chance to relax and have some fun before everyone gets busy with the pre-Christmas rush.”
The event will be an all-Tweed affair with canapes provided by Murwillumbah-based Savoire Fare Catering, beer sponsored by Stone and Wood Brewery and water supplied by Mt Warning Springwater – all accompanied by live local music and entertainment.
And while the finalists vie for a total prize pool valued at more than $10,000, all those attending will also have the chance to win big with lucky door prizes and a trip for two to Singapore donated by Scoot up for grabs.
Another highlight of the night will be the announcement of the silent auction winner of a painting entitled ‘The King’ donated by Put Some Colour In Your Life and valued at $2000. Online bids opened in mid-September and can be submitted by emailing Natascha@murwillumbahchamber.com.au.
The BEATS gala awards will be a cocktail and theatre style evening, held at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre on Saturday, 12 October from 6.30pm. Tickets are priced at $80 per person or $75 for members of the Murwillumbah, Kingscliff or Tweed Chambers.
