Tweed Junior Cricket by Odette Quine
WHAT a terrible weekend for the cricket with hardly a ball bowled due to the rain.
The under-12 Tweed District Comp and under-14 Ballina District Comp were both completely washed out.
The under-16 Ballina District Comp was almost completely abandoned with play only possible in one game. The heavens were kind to Mullum/Murbah who were praying for rain – the game ended in a draw.
Tweed Valley Big Bash
The Big Bash continues this week with play at Seabreeze Oval, Pottsville. The season wraps up on 12 December with the final game being played at Rabjones Oval, Murwillumbah.
The Big Bash will be back next year with the first game on Thursday 30 January. If you are interested in joining in the fun of the Big Bash please contact your local club for details
