The Friends of the Tweed River Art Gallery are hosting a Games Day on Tuesday, July 10 from10am until 3pm at the Tweed River Art Gallery.
Guests are invited to bring along their favourite board games and a group of friends.
President of the Friends of the Gallery, Lyn Stewart, said a similar event was held at the Gallery in 2011.
“The guests had so much fun, they’ve asked us to hold another one this year,” Ms Stewart said
“Throughout the day the Friends will cater to your needs, with a delicious morning tea, delectable three-course lunch and assorted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
“There’ll be a fun raffle, lucky spot and lucky ticket prizes. Handmade craft goods, local produce and delicious homemade cakes and chutneys will also be for sale at our stall tables.”
The Friends’ fundraising efforts over the next 18 months will go towards the establishment of the Margaret Olley Art Centre, an exciting project that will have enormous benefit for the entire Tweed Shire.
Tickets for Games Day are $30 each and bookings are essential.
