Friends of the Pound are planning a Cat Adopt-a-thon at 100% Pets, located in the Harvey Norman Homemaker Complex, Greenway Drive, South Tweed, as part of Seniors Week, March 23-24.
Entry is free, and the event will be held from 10am to 3pm each day.
There will be a number of adult cats on display and available for adoption, as well as a sausage sizzle.
There are currently 36 cats and 47 kittens in foster care.
Prospective owners who are renting their home will need to bring written permission from their landlord to have a pet, as some rental properties are not pet friendly and it would be unfortunate if the cat was rehomed and then returned.
It would also be advisable that potential owners bring a cat carrier with them to take home the latest family addition.
