IT’S been 10 years since Kate Ceberano recorded an album of original songs and a lot has happened to Kate and her fans in that time.
For that reason the album, Kensal Road is one of reflection and change – a celebration of Kate’s life and passion as a woman, mother, partner and daughter.
And according to Kate, who started her tour in WA last week before heading east to us, it is an album that she is not only immensely proud of, but an album that is connecting with her audience in a magical way.
Mind you, you wouldn’t expect anything else from the woman who burst on to the Australian music scene as a teen with the band I’m Talking and who has been slowly creating a unique back catalogue of work.
Kensal Road is Kate’s 25th recorded album and was written and recorded in Kensaltown Studios in London.
So with more than 30 years in the entertainment industry, Kate Ceberano has certainly set her place as one of Australia’s most iconic entertainment stars.And it’s not just as a “pop star” either.
More recently, Kate Ceberano’s achievements have included winning Dancing With the Stars, an award-winning performance in Opera Australia’s South Pacific and breaking box office records as Artistic Director for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
