All the fun of the fair came to the hilltops of Terranora when Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School held its first Spring Fair in four years.
More than 200 people flocked to the event which was held at the school’s Mahers Lane campus rather than its usual location at the primary school campus at Sunshine Avenue in Tweed Heads.
Organiser Robyn Goldstone said the event, which will now go back to being held every two years, was a big success.
“We haven’t got a financial figure yet, but all the funds raised will go back to providing extra resources for the students,” she said.
Robyn said not only was there a great response from the school community, but also the wider community.
She said, considering the economic climate, the school had tried to run a relaxed event with a lot of visual and free things to do as well as all the usual fun of the fair. The event culminated in a fireworks display.
