CABARITA Beach Bogangar was filled with Christmas spirit on Saturday afternoon for the annual Lions Club Christmas family event.
Organiser Peter O’Donnell said the afternoon and evening of carols, fun and frivolity turned out to be a big success this year after starting off slowly in the afternoon.
“I believe that everyone who attended the event had a great time, none more so than the children who met Santa who gave a special Christmas wish and received a bag of lollies to boot,” he said.
“The fireworks were delayed somewhat but the operator put on a spectacular display.
“The winner of the major Christmas raffle was Pete Collie who was there in person to claim the prize.
“We thank all our Lions members who made this event another success and advise that donations to our beneficiaries are to be made in the coming weeks.
“We wish everyone all the very best from the Cabarita Beach Pottsville Beach Lions Club for the coming festive season and we will be back again next year.”
