Centaur primary students proved that Australia does indeed have talent at a one night only event last week.
As with any show, there were many feet scurrying behind the scenes.
Urgent calls between walkie talkies signalled the time for each act to be escorted to the wings and a few whispered ‘shh’s’ to settle nerves and excitement took place before children boldly walked on stage to perform with flair and pride.
Trumpets and guitars soothed souls, choirs raised spirits, plays produced laughs and dancers brought applause throughout the night.
Each performance wowed the crowd and many proud parents’ hands could be seen pointing out their little star on stage as all acts entertained.
“To see the size of the smiles on every child’s face confirmed to me that every bit of extra effort during the weeks of rehearsals and organisation was worth it,” Principal Darren Scott said.
Coordinator of this huge event, Jade Vanderleedan, said the whole school worked hard and brought together an amazing performance for the school’s community to enjoy.
Parents agreed that this was one night they were glad to miss The Block and be part of an audience that enjoyed such a wonderful show.
