THE recommendations of an independent review of concerns raised by LEDA Developments, developers of the Kings Forrest on the Tweed Coast, will be presented to the Tweed Shire Council’s meeting tonight in Murwillumbah.
In June 2013 following a quotation process, SINC Solutions was engaged to conduct a review of documents with findings in relation to issues raised by LEDA Developments (LEDA) in documents provided to council over the past two years.
A replacement council report is available now on the Tweed Shire Council’s website (Item 20) detailing the 19 recommendations made by SINC Solutions Pty Ltd following its review.
Council’s Acting General Manager, Troy Green, said management had commissioned the review in good faith and was committed to implementing its recommendations.
“It is important to note that the report notes no corrupt conduct issues and no code of conduct breaches were identified during the review which required further investigation or referral to another agency,” Mr Green said.
“Nevertheless, the recommendations identified a number of ways in which both parties could improve their processes and practices.
“The recommendations aim to facilitate a better working relationship between both council and LEDA and we look forward to making changes to improve that relationship.”
