Bogangar goes to the dogs

More than 30 dogs and 50 dog lovers gathered at Bogangar Primary School on Saturday for local dog training school Top Dog Academy’s Christmas party.
The party included best dressed and obedience competitions, games, prizes and needle felting demonstrations as well as guest appearances by the giant Top Dog mascot and Santa himself.
It was also an opportunity for handlers to run their dogs over agility equipment including tunnels, jumps, weaving poles and a seesaw.
Top Dog Academy owner, Rhonda Robinson said the afternoon was held for her clients and their furry friends to celebrate the festive season and all their dog training efforts throughout the year.
“The aim of the afternoon was to thank our dog handlers for all their hard work, as well as to give everyone the chance to get together and have some fun,” said Rhonda.
“Ensuring your dog is well trained is very important because…..  with the right training and some time and effort, problem behaviours can be addressed and people can achieve a rewarding relationship with their dogs  – owners just need the know-how and support, which Top Dog Academy provides.”
