SES say goodbye to a hero and mate

Former Tweed SES Unit Controller Ian Carlson died this week after an 18-month battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Ian will be farewelled by his family, friends and SES colleagues on Thursday afternoon at 2pm at the Baptist Church (behind Bunnings).
Tweed Heads local controller Brian Sheahan said it was a very sad time for the Tweed Unit and the SES in general.
He said Ian had been a great member of the state emergency service and would be sorely missed by all.
