This term, Pottsville Beach Primary has been busy running orientation days for new kindergarten students.
And with six kindergarten classes next year, there will be plenty of new faces around the playground for 2012.
The Orientations have been held each Wednesday and Friday and go for five weeks. The young students get to go to school for a few hours and get used to the routines, while the school also runs workshops and morning teas for the parents. The events allow the students and parents to get know each other before the new school year and hopefully takes the tears out of that first few days of school.
