Tweed Heads South Primary School will hold an exciting Careers Market Day on Wednesday, November 30 as a way to inspire the students to “dream big”.
The day will involve present-ations from guest speakers, hands-on activities and interesting demonstrations.
The Careers Day will give students a chance to try-a-trade and talk to people in other occupations and professions, such as a firefighter, police officer, paramedic, a veterinarian and a nurse.
Research shows that children as young as five can talk and think about what they want to do when they leave school; and the day will assist them in understanding the links between learning, life opportunities and the world of work.
Representatives from Griffith University, TAFE and Centrelink will also be at the event to provide parents and carers with information about possible future pathways.
If you would like any information or would like to be involved, please contact Miss Fallon Purkiss on (07) 5524 3408.
