KINGSCLIFF Football Club has celebrated a second successful season of their summer six-a-side competition.
A total of 352 players took part in the competition held at the Casuarina Rugby Fields with their own fields unavailable this year.
Club president Gillian Austin said numbers were up across the board with 56 (six teams) women, 99 (12 teams) men and 197 players (24 teams) juniors.
“They were very successfully held at Casuarina Rugby fields for 2013 as KDFC fields were being cared for over the summer,” Gillian said.
“Thanks again to all who helped make it a huge success, players, coaches, volunteers.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone at six-a-side next year. Keep an eye out for early bird registration benefits in January for our 2014 winter competition.
Best-and-fairest: under-9/10 – Connor McCarthy; under-11/12 – Dylan Jeffreys; under-13/15 – Tim Harry and Ashton Saunders.
A presentation made also to 12-year-old Jamie Lynett for volunteering her time each Tuesday to assist in the canteen.
