ATHLETES from Tweed Seagulls Little Athletics competed in the Regional Relays at Helensvale on 10 November and achieving some fantastic results with 15 teams qualifying for the state relay carnival, held on the weekend at Nathan.

U9 girls 4x100m – 1st
U10 girls 4x100m – 2nd
U11 girls 4x100m – 3rd
U9 girls 4x200m – 2nd
U10 girls 4x200m – 2nd
U16 boys 4x100m – 2nd
U16 boys medley relay – 2nd
FIELD EVENTS
U9 girls high jump – 3rd
U14 girls high jump – 1st
U10 girls shot put – 1st
U12 girls shot put – 1st
U12 girls discus – 1st
U13 girls discus – 3rd
U16 boys long jump – 2nd
U15 discus – 3rd
Special mention to the under-8 girls, who took first place in the 4x100m relay, second place in the 4x70m relay, second in the long jump, second in the discus.
As these girls didn’t qualify for the state (you need to be nine and above, they did very well on the day, and really enjoyed themselves).
