On Thursday, June 23, 50 South Tweed Public students visited the Tweed River Art Gallery for a day of art.
“The excursion to Tweed River Art Gallery moved me,” Mandu 6p said.
“There were paintings that made me sad, some that made me scared and one that was actually printed in human’s blood.
“Some people thought to themselves “same old art gallery”, but to their surprise it had changed.
“There was one artwork with Uma, the famous actress, as a little girl writing on a steamed window.
“The staff’s hospitality was great.
“I think the employee that guided our group was one of the nicest ladies I’ve ever met.
“To sum up our excursion in a couple of words, it was spectacular.”
“My time at the Tweed River Art Gallery was amazing,” another student Shannyn said.
“Portraits, sculptures, photographs and more surrounded us, so many different styles and techniques that are all so hard to do. I loved this excursion!”
