St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School turned into a funland for the day on Sunday for the school’s fete.
Large crowds flocked to the school to enjoy all of the fun of the fair with rides and animal farms alongside traditional trash and treasure, plant and count the jelly baby stalls.
The community was out in force with kids and parents from several schools coming along to join the fun.
And it was all in a good cause according to principal Lynne Pull. Mrs Pull said all money raised would go towards making sure every classroom is airconditioned.
Mrs Pull – who came to the school this year – said she was very proud of the efforts.
“It was very well organised,” she said.
“Rachel Lynch and Anthea McMahon worked really hard and had a small but very capable bunch of volunteers.”
She said she was a little concerned there might not be enough volunteers but then “everyone came out of the woodwork keen to help”.
