200 marijuana plants

A Doon Doon man is set to appear in Murwillumbah Local Court next month following the discovery of more than 200 cannabis plants this week.
Officers from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command, together with officers from Strike Force Raptor, seized the plants during the execution of a search warrant on a Doon Doon property.
Following lengthy investigations into illegal drug activity with a suspected outlaw motorcycle club gang member (OMCG), officers executed the warrant on a property in Doon Doon, near Murwillumbah, on Monday.
Officers will allege they located 231 cannabis plants, and approximately 20kg of cannabis leaf.
The 50-year-old occupant of the home was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station where he was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, and cultivation of prohibited plants.
He was given bail, and will appear in Murwillumbah Local Court on November 6.
