JUST weeks ago, Adalita released her second solo LP, All Day Venus, and is now taking it on the road.
Much like her self-titled debut, the album has charmed fans and won the talented artist a multitude of glowing praise.
Making its debut at 30 on the ARIA Albums Chart, All Day Venus has just seen Adalita nominated for two gongs at The Age Music Victoria Awards this year – for Best Album and Best Female Artist.
Now comes the stirring video for ‘Trust Is Rust’ – the latest single from the new album.
Starring a tortured Adalita, and produced by the talented team at Oh Yeah Wow, the video brings to life the track’s poignant lyrics, to spectacular effect.
“I worked with director Tim Melville and amazing actors Dame Hill and Clea Freeland, to realise this clip. It was so intriguing to watch how the actors got in the zone to create the emotion and get the story across. I had a really great time with the whole crew on this one,” Adalita said.
With the album wooing fans across the nation, Adalita is currently taking her tunes out on the road. Ahead of national performances as part of next year’s Laneway Festival, she is performing an east coast run of shows with full band.
The tour launched in Victoria over the weekend and included a heaving sold-out gig at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel.
