Instead of a Spring Festival, Kingscliff Primary P&C chose a fundraiser with a difference this year.
The school decided to make use of their school oval with its sloping banks to put on an outdoor movie.
Originally planned for September/October, the event was postponed from third term due to inclement weather and predicted storms.
However last week, in perfect weather, well over a hundred Kingscliff families spread out their picnic rugs and enjoyed the entertainment of the finals of the Annual Kingy Idol quest, a barbecue tea and “journey to the centre of the earth” on the big screen.
