TWEED United’s under-14 Division Two side has taken out the Gold Coast Football championship decided at Carrara two weeks ago.
This successful team had remained undefeated during the entire 2013 season, claiming the Gold Coast Junior title in a hard-fought final against Palm Beach.
The boys won 1-0, adding 115 goals for – and only 12 conceded against for the season – and more than justifying their status as an all-round attacking and defensive team.
The majority of the boys have been playing together for the past five years now under the skilled guidance of the silver-haired coach Juergen Bredemeyer.
