Don’t let unpaid tolls spoil your travel this Easter

The Easter holiday period is one of the busiest times of the year on Brisbane’s Gateway and Logan toll roads, and Queensland Motorways is urging holidaymakers not to let unpaid tolls spoil their Easter.
Queensland Motorways is expecting high traffic volumes on the Gateway and Logan motorways over  the Easter long holidays, as people hit the roads to take advantage of the long weekend.
Queensland Motorways Acting CEO John Gardiner said this Easter long weekend, around 1.2 million trips were expected to be made on the Gateway and Logan motorways.
“It is important for holiday makers, particularly those who are visiting Brisbane, to make their travel plans in advance and set up a ‘go via toll payment’ option for the Gateway and Logan motorways,” Mr Gardiner said.
“Easter is a busy time of year, especially for families, and it’s easy for people to forget to pay their tolls when they’re on the road. We don’t want motorists to return home to any nasty and unwanted fees and charges in the letterbox,” he said.
“That’s why we’re encouraging motorists to arrange their toll payments prior to travel.”
Mr Gardiner said ‘go via’ offers a range of toll payment options for visitors and occasional toll road users, including the ‘go viaroad pass’ which enables motorists to travel on all Brisbane toll roads.
“The ‘go viaroad pass’ takes the hassle out of travel for visitors, as it can be used to cover travel on any toll road in Brisbane, including the Gateway and Logan motorways, the Clem 7 Tunnel as well as the Go Between Bridge,” Mr Gardiner said.
All you need to set up a ‘go viaroad pass’ is your dates of travel, vehicle details and a credit card.
Motorists who travel on the Gateway or Logan motorways without a ‘go via’ payment arrangement in place need not panic; they have up to three days after travelling to pay their tolls.
