ROUND Mountain Girls will settle in to Twin Towns Services Club this weekend playing three shows this Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
RMG have returned from Sydney and Newcastle after performing a string of shows including the wonderful Lizottes venues, promoting their new album, Getting There Is Only Halfway Back.
“The album has been really well received and we are loving playing the new tracks live”, said enigmatic frontman Christopher “Banjovi” Eaton.
“We have been so busy this last few months playing festivals and traveling. It has been very rewarding though. Gympie Muster was insane – a really big party festival. Playing our new stuff to partying cowboys and cowgirls was a lot of fun. Twin Towns is a fun gig as well, because each night is different. Even though it’s the same venue each night, each day has its own vibe, kinda interesting.”
Round Mountain Girls are also finalists in the 2013 MUSICOZ awards, Australia’s Independent Music awards.
“Yes – we are very excited! After Twin Towns, next week we fly to Sydney to walk the red carpet like rock gods … it will be a great night even if we don’t win,” Chris said.
“I’ve booked in for a hair-cut and facial!”
The RMG’s have three songs in the Blues/Roots category and one song in the Country category.
