INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed singer Simone Nicole will headline the Tweed Link’s 3 November concert at the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club.
Club spokeswoman Shirley King said they were very excited to have a perfomer of Simone’s calibre as headliner.
“Simone has thrilled and captivated audiences throughout Australia and overseas performing in many musicals including Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Chicago, and Jesus Christ Superstar,” she said.
“She began her career as a ballerina but following an accident turned her talent to singing. With a delightful and entertaining stage presence, Simone is an accomplished vocalist who is equally at home singing a variety of genres.”
Local guest musicians Bob Fawaz on trumpet and Col Hobson on Banjo will join the Tweed Links Music Club Quartet to present two Trad Jazz segments.
“These are very popular with audience members and many cannot refrain from jumping on to the dance floor for a swinging toe-tapping time,” Shirley said.
“The lovely gifted vocalist, Charlotte Pirrone is also performing while Compere Bob Green will open the show with The Tweed Links Dancers accompanied by the Tweed Links Quartet.”
The Tweed Links Music Club proudly presents monthly musical shows at the Coolangatta – Tweed Links Golf Club (main auditorium), Soorley Street, South Tweed Heads, on the first Sunday of each month, commencing at 2pm (NSW time).
