Calms my heart and clears my mind, living life on north coast time’ are the words of North Coast Time’s theme song.
The Tweed Coast band says they have tried to create a peaceful ambience in
their music.
“‘One of our aims with our CD Barefoot in the Sand was to reorientate people from aggression to peace, especially in the ocean, and to get people to focus on the simple pleasures of life” Dave said.
On Saturday, April 2, North Coast Time will be doing unplugged versions of their CD at the equally laid back and peaceful Sheoak Shack at Fingal.
Dave Stoneman from the band says that he loves the ‘island feel’ of the venue and the beautiful location.
As well, its ability to play movies behind the band will allow him to showcase some local surf film makers while they play.
This evening will feature classic retro 1970s footage from Murwillumbah’s Mark Trevithick. The evening starts at 7pm.
