Attention all classical music and contemporary ballet lovers! The Arts Centre Gold Coast and Lucid Dance Theatre present ‘Dancing with Bach’, performing in The Space on Saturday, June 25 and Tuesday, June 28.
The show draws inspiration from Bach’s life and the beautifully evocative ‘Cello Suites’. This contemporary ballet work explores the emotional and mysterious life of Bach and the motivation behind these expressive works.With a small cast of dancers, choreographed by Louise Deleur and accompanied by internationally renowned Baroque cellist Louise King, ‘Dancing with Bach’ is sure to enthuse the body and soul.
And as an added bonus, the Lucid Dance Theatre Company is hosting an exclusive school holiday dance workshop in The Space on Tuesday, June 28 from 4 – 6pm prior to their final Gold Coast performance. Dancers aged 12 and over have the unique opportunity to explore contemporary and classical dance techniques with Artistic Director Louise Deleur.
