If you’re looking for free and independent financial information then the Richmond-Tweed Regional Libraries are the place to go.
Centrelink is holding a series of public seminars covering all aspects of investing, managing your money, and preparing for retirement.
Financial Information Service Officers will provide free information to help people increase their confidence in dealing with financial issues and plan and prepare for their financial future.
The first set of seminars covers investment and retirement issues and will be held during Seniors Week, March 21 to 25.
Topics include: how to prepare financially for retirement, allocated pensions and other retirement income streams and accommodation options for retirees.
Further seminars from April 11 to 15 will cover more general areas of investing including superannuation, wealth creation, and reducing your mortgage.
Centrelink’s Financial Information Service Officers provide independent information to help people make informed decisions about their financial future.
They do not recommend particular products or investment strategies and their information is free and confidential.
To make a booking for one of these seminars, please call Kingscliff Library (02)66741607, Murwillumbah Library (02)66702427 or Tweed Library (07)55693150.
