Get into the rhythm and jazz up your life – the Broadbeach Jazz Festival is back August 17-19.
The event will feature a quality selection of Australia’s finest jazz musicians with favourites Marcia Hines and Vince Jones set to headline the three day festival.
More than 20,000 people are expected to attend with artists performing on outdoor stages and in venues throughout Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.
The best bit is, there’s no ticket required to attend the Broadbeach Jazz Festival, it’s free!
With the largest line-up and participating venues in the event’s four year history let’s all get our jazz hands ready for this exciting Gold Coast festival.
The entry line-up features more than 35 jazz artists including Albare, Ingrid James, Louise Denson, Sarah McKenzie, Emma Hamilton and Bob Schultz as well as local talent Ashley Lewis, Shannon Marshall and a whole lot more.
Broadbeach venues hosting entertainment for this year’s event include Alto Cucina & Bar, Oracle Boulevard, Niecon Plaza, Room 81 & TC’s at the Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, The Oasis Shopping Centre and Jupiters Hotel & Casino who will present ‘A night with the stars’ a ticketed event featuring David Campbell, Grace Knight, Liam Burrows as well as James Morrison and Emma Pask.
Local up and coming artists join the line-up with performances from Griffith University Young Conservatorium Big Band and Jazz Ensembles, Mal Wood & Friends as well as The Gold Coast Youth Orchestra.
Broadbeach Alliance CEO Jan McCormick believes this year’s festival will be the best one yet.
“This festival is growing every year and with headline acts such as Marcia Hines and Vince Jones, as well as the amazing local musicians and youth groups performing, the 2012 festival is set to be something truly amazing, a really family friendly festival” said Mrs McCormick.
