This Sunday, October 14 is Family Fun Day at the New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM).
Come along from 11am to 2pm, rain or shine. Enjoy an array of hands-on art activities designed to entertain the little ones, as well as the exhibitions hanging in the galleries.
Be inspired by Margaret Olley’s Yellow Room and help create a large collaborative artwork of a special living room space with artist Jonathan Larsen. Other activities include making yellow-themed badges with artist Trish Donald and crafting pretty swirling flower pinwheels.
Lunchtime options include a sausage sizzle and lemonade stall, or neramharvest café with its lovely outdoor terrace area.
Cost: $5 (covers all art activities)
“Family days are among our favourite events at the art museum,” said NERAM’s Deputy Director Christine Durham.
“It’s always great to see grandparents, parents and children having a lot of fun together being creative”.
This is one of many activities for children held at the art museum year round and a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to enjoy art and art making. Everyone in the community is welcome.
