Queen of Pop, singer, actress and TV personality Marcia Hines is ready for Twin Towns, bringing all her hits and sensational vocal talent along for the ride!
The word “legend” is so over used these days but it’s hard to find another word fit for Marcia Hines.
She came onto the Australian music scene as a teenager in musicals in the early 70s but it was in the mid-seventies that we all took her to our hearts.
She was a shining light of the Countdown set and was crowned Queen of Pop after the success of her debut album “Marcia Shines” which also became the biggest selling album by an Australian female artist at the time.
And her star has continued to shine “From The Inside”, “Where Did We Go Wrong”, “Shower the People” and the brilliant “I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself” Her albums were so successful Marcia was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.
Spending her career in the spotlight Marcia has hosted variety shows on ABC TV, toured with Jon English, starred in the musical “Oh! What A Night” and “Jerry Girl’s” and starred as a judge for Australian Idol.
Seeing Marcia Hines in action is definitely an occasion.
Supporting the show on the night will be the duo Mark Divola and Dean Gray. Two of the most accomplished and respected acoustic guitarists on the Gold Coast.
