Holiday art workshops for children

ArtPlay is on again in the September school holidays at the New England Regional Art Museum. Jonathon Larson, Lorenne Michel and Judy McLeod will be presenting two weeks of creative fun for children of all ages. Four workshops are on offer, including painting, mask making, clay and drama.
Children can have fun with paint and rollers and learn how to paint hard edge in the Abstraction 4 Children workshop; Using recycled materials, create fun African masks; Make 3 dimensional wall murals and decorate with coloured oxides; Or build your skills and confidence with drama games and performances with local drama teacher Judy McLeod.
Abstraction 4 Children (Painting) Tuesday, September 27 and October 4, 2011. 10am to 12noon for all ages. Cost: $15
African Masks (Mixed Media) Wednesday, September 28 and October 5, 2011. 10am to 12noon for all ages. Cost $15
Clayscapes (Clay) Thursday, September 29 and October 6, 2011. 10am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm for all ages, under fives need to be accompanied by an adult. Cost: $15
Felt Tip Drama Workshop Friday, September 30 and October 7, 2011. 10am to 4pm for ages five to 11. Cost: $50 for one-day workshop. $10 deposit required on booking.
Numbers are limited, so call NERAM on 6772 5255 to book a place. Children should arrive five to 10 minutes before the workshop commences, at the entrance of the Museum. Please wear old clothing.
