Make space in the lead-up to Christmas to check out the end-of-year group exhibition in the Packsaddle Studio, below NERAM.
The exhibition is the culmination of weekly painting and drawing classes conducted by local artist and art teacher, Kerry Wilson, on Fridays and Tuesday evenings. Also in the exhibition are prints from Thursday evenings’ group of printmakers, tutored by Jonathan Larson.
On show are works by more than 25 students from the Armidale area, working in a variety of media (oils, acrylics, collage, pastels and mixed media), and covering a wide range of subjects and styles. The eclectic show includes quirky still life works, landscapes, interior studies, life drawings and paintings, as well as more adventurous abstract and colour field studies, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The exhibition opens at 6.00pm on Friday, December 16, with celebratory drinks and nibbles, and runs from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm on Saturday 17 and Sunday December 18. The Packsaddle Studio is located below NERAM and is accessed by following the pathways at either end of the building to the rear of the building.
Don’t miss this opportunity to catch up on another facet of local art and perhaps find a unique Christmas gift.
NERAM is open from Tues – Fri 10am to 5pm, Sat and Sun 10am to 4pm. Closed public holidays over Christmas and January.
