The last Music for a Market Sunday concert for the year, at 12:30pm on December 18 in the Uniting Church, will feature Beethoven’s intriguing sextet in Eb Major, for two horns two violins, viola and cello. The performers are: April Kelson, Marion Barford, Jacqui Thompson, Eleanor Streatfeild, Lisa and Gergely Mályusz, most of whom teach at NECOM.
The sextet is an early work by Beethoven that at times almost becomes a double horn concerto. It is not performed that often so this will be a good opportunity to hear it.
Admission to the concert is free, though donations are encouraged. Sausages, tea and coffee will be available at the Uniting Church before the concert.
