Pete Murray, supported by Scarlett Affection, is playing the Bangalow Bowlo on Sunday, August 19 to help raise funds for the Northern Rivers Community Foundation.
And guess what – tickets are still available!
This is the Northern Rivers Community Foundation’s annual music fundraiser. On the back of last year’s amazing gig at Byron Bay Golf Club with international blues maestro Eric Bibb, this year they present Pete Murray in concert, supported by Scarlett Affection.
The event will be held at the Bangalow Bowlo from midday and the ticket price of $120 includes a sit-down two-course meal and show. Drinks are available at the bar. There will also be raffles and auctions on the day.
Pete has very kindly offered to perform at no cost to the Northern Rivers Community Foundation. “We couldn’t think of anyone else we’d rather have perform for us this year,” said NRCF Chair, Lucy Ashley.
“Pete is such a brilliant musician, a local guy, a dad and just so deeply connected to his community.”
After discussions with Pete, a portion of funds raised on the day will go to the NRCF Tony Narracott sub-fund which was established to support the needs of local disadvantaged children and teens.
The Northern Rivers Community Foundation is run by locals, for locals. It gathers tax-deductible donations from the Northern Rivers community to create a pool of perpetual funds. This money is carefully invested and the income earned is used to fund a series of grants which are given out annually to worthy organisations right across the Northern Rivers.
Since 2004, nearly $500,000 has been distributed to organisations including Riding for the Disabled, Autism Spectrum Association, Bialla, Lifeline Northern Rivers and Byron Youth Service to fund a series of projects that are helping to change people’s lives for the better.
Tickets are online through oztix. This event will definitely sell out.
