Scooby Scooby Doo where are you? Well the answer to that question last week was Little Angels Childcare Centre, Banora Point. The famous bloodhound dropped in to delight his young fans (and play a few games in the sun) ahead of his trip to the Gold Coast later this month. Yes the famous TV star and all of his friends (even though they were young, the kids could name all of the Mystery Inc crew from Daphne and Fred to Velma and of course Scooby’s best pal Shaggy) will be back later in the month. You see, after enjoying sell-out seasons in Victoria and WA in the July School holidays, the new show, Scooby-Doo Live! Musical Mysteries is heading north – to the Gold Coast Arts Centre to be exact. When Warner Bros Consumer Products partnered with Life Like Touring to launch the Australian Tour of the brand new family musical – Scooby-Doo Live! Musical Mysteries – they knew it would probably be big. However, no-one could have anticipated how popular this tour would actually be! Tickets went on sale in Melbourne and Perth earlier this year and sold out in a matter of weeks! Families were left scrambling for the last few seats in the theatre by the time the show opened to much acclaim in Melbourne suburban venues. Following the success of the world premiere in Australia of this new production, Life Like Touring is proud to announce Scooby-Doo Live! Musical Mysteries will now tour Queensland, South Australia and parts of Regional Victoria in the September/October 2011 school holidays. “Scooby-Doo is one the most beloved and iconic characters in all of popular culture and we are thrilled to be able to bring Scooby and the gang to our Australian and New Zealand fans in a way that is truly spectacular, with a live show that the entire family will love,” says Preston Kevin Lewis, Managing Director, Warner Bros Consumer Products, Australia and New Zealand.
