On Australia Day, Thursday January 26, 2012, people all over Australia will be pausing to say thank you for the wonderful country that we live in.
The Australia Day Service at 9am in St. Peter’s Parish Centre is a place where every year many people enjoy coming together in gratitude.
This is an occasion when Christians from many different fellowships unite in thanksgiving and prayers. There is a wonderful solidarity in coming together to share in our hopes for our country.
The service contains rousing hymns, an address by Rev. Andrew Coburn, pastor of the Armidale District Baptist Church, and times of prayer. It finishes at 10.30am to allow people to arrive at the Showground for the other Australia Day events.
